What Areas Can Be Treated?
Depending on the treatment goal, Beard Laser Hair Removal for Men can include selected beard-related areas on the cheeks, chin, mustache area, and a selected area of the neck associated with the beard line.
Beard Contouring Without Removing the Entire Beard
The beard does not have to be removed completely. Treatment can focus on selected areas around the beard line while preserving the beard itself. The desired beard shape and treatment boundaries are confirmed before treatment.
A Sharper or More Natural Beard Line
The beard line can be planned with a sharper or more natural-looking boundary, depending on the client’s preference. If the client already has a beard shape created by a barber, the treatment can follow that established shape.
Hair Density Can Be Reduced
Beard Laser Hair Removal for Men can also be used to reduce hair density rather than remove all hair from the treated beard area. This option allows the client to keep facial hair while reducing the amount of hair in selected areas.
Beard Area vs. Full Neck
A selected area of the neck associated with the beard line can be treated as part of the beard treatment. The entire neck is not automatically included. When treatment is needed beyond the selected beard-line area, Neck Laser Hair Removal is a separate treatment option.

Before Your Appointment
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 4 weeks before treatment.
- Wait 3 weeks after completing an antibiotic course.
- Do not take anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen or Aleve the day before, the day of, and the day after the procedure.
- Glow Lab’s general instruction to shave the day before treatment applies to body areas, not the face.
- Do not use Retin-A or retinol products on the treated area for 2 weeks.
After Your Appointment
- Avoid tanning for 2 weeks.
- Avoid hot baths, steam rooms, saunas, and exercise for 48 hours.
- Avoid alcohol-containing lotions for 48 hours; Glow Lab’s instructions recommend aloe vera gel or panthenol cream instead.
- Do not wax, tweeze, or use sugaring between sessions; shaving is the only recommended hair-removal method.
- Allow about 2 weeks for the shedding process.
