What’s Included in the Chin Area?
The treatment is limited to the chin and the small area directly beneath it that is still part of the chin. It does not extend down onto the neck or outward onto the cheeks or jawline.
Chin Only or a Larger Facial Treatment?
The chin can be treated as an individual facial zone. If unwanted hair continues beyond the chin, adjacent facial or neck areas can be treated separately.
How Laser Hair Removal Works
The CLARITY II 755 nm laser used at Glow Lab is indicated for hair reduction through selective targeting of melanin in hair follicles. Its FDA documentation describes temporary hair reduction and stable long-term or permanent hair reduction after a treatment regimen.
Hair Color and Treatment Suitability
Because the laser targets melanin in the hair follicle, hair pigment is an important factor in treatment. For facial hair, Glow Lab evaluates fine hairs individually; very light-colored, white, colorless, or gray hair generally do not provide enough pigment for effective laser targeting.
Laser Technology Used at Glow Lab
Glow Lab uses Lutronic CLARITY II and Cynosure Elite+ laser systems. Both systems provide 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelengths. FDA documentation for both systems includes indications for stable long-term or permanent hair reduction.

Safety and suitability
Before your treatment
Before your treatment, we review medications, recent sun or tanning, pregnancy, active skin conditions or infections, recent procedures, and relevant medical history. Your specialist confirms that the treatment is appropriate for you.
Important: Results vary from person to person. The number of treatments and individual response may vary.
FAQ
Can I treat only my chin?
Yes. The chin can be treated as an individual facial zone.
Is the area under the chin included?
The small area immediately beneath the chin is included, provided it falls within the defined chin treatment area. Hair farther down is treated as part of the neck area.
Are the cheeks and jawline included?
No. Hair extending outward onto the cheeks or jawline is outside the Chin treatment area.
